I am new to this Tiny Core Linux.
I am running it on virtualbox(latest)
I successfully installed tiny core linux, but after a reboot the screen is black and the guitar doesn't load up.
It also shows failed in waitforX.
[EDIT]: Changed subject from "Problem??" to "Tinycore stops at waitforX in VirtualBox". Rich

Which version and architecture of tinycore are you using?
The "wait for x" usually means one of the x servers - Xvesa, Xfbdev, Xorg-7.7 - is missing.
Do you have a minimum set of extensions set to load "onboot", for example Xvesa, flwm, aterm, wbar?
-
I am using 64 bit version 11.0!

Sorry I am too new to this.
I don't know about this onboot.
It will be a great help if you can get me out of this problem.
-
Install tinycore in the vm again then, before rebooting, use the apps gui (hover the mouse over the icons at the bottom to see which one) to check what is set to load on boot.

Hi Amul2004
... I successfully installed tiny core linux, ...
How did you install it? Did you use the installer that comes with Tinycore or a third party installer?
Sorry I am too new to this.
I don't know about this onboot. ...
It determines which programs will get loaded when you boot up. You will need some basic knowledge about how Tinycore
works if you want to avoid problems.
I recommend you read this:

There is also a page of FAQs you should look through:

The Wiki is also worth browsing:

The only thing that worked for me was installing Core (CLI Only) and installing X11 from the new install on VirtualBox
-
You don't say which version or architecture you're using, but by default tinycore uses Xvesa (x86) or Xfbdev (x86_64) - perhaps the full Xorg-7.7 is required with virtualbox?
