...
That should be most, if not all, of the extensions mentioned copied over.

Beautiful! Thank you, juanito.
Is there planned support for Qt4 applications in TCL11 and beyond, or plan is to phase out Qt4 in favor of Qt5?
Reason I ask is that I use keepassx.tcz a lot. If plan is to phase out Qt4, I can recompile it (git version) for tc-11.x using Qt5.
-
Phasing out qt4 would be better as it means the old version of gstreamer can also be phased out.
-
Thanks, juanito. That makes sense. I'll build keepassx that uses qt5 and will submit it for tc-11.x.
-
New keepassx extension (for qt5 on tc-11.x) submitted.
-
hello I'm still at 10.x, how to change repo to 11.x?
-
You need to update to tinycore 11.x - note that it is still in beta testing
-
dillo-beta.tcz woks in TC11 (x86) and TC11 (x86_64).
In TC11 (x86_64) I tried to compile some perl scripts but there's lack of some extensions like ""perl_XML-LibXML" and other similar. Is it possible to copy them from TC10 (x86_64).
cpan install HTML::Parser

Will mdadm.tcz and linux-kernel-sources-env.tcz be updated for TC11 (x86_64) ?
Many Thanks for your reply !
Ricky

w3m.tcz
epdf-view.tcz
are missing too
-
Please send the maintainers a private message to request an update for tc-11

Will mdadm.tcz and linux-kernel-sources-env.tcz be updated for TC11 (x86_64)
mdadm is in the tc-11.x x86_64 repo?
Please test linux-kernel-sources-env from tc-10.x in tc-11.x and report back if it works.
-
Hi Juanito,
mdadm.tcz is in the tc-11.x x86_64 repo, but the current date in tinycore apps 11 is "2017/01/11" and the changelog is "first version" by you . It works partially in tc-11, but with a mistake.
linux-kernel-sources-env from tc-10.x doensn' t work in tc-11. cliorx linux-kernel-sources-env.sh can't find the source.
Can you help ?
Ricky

server side adjusted - does it work now?
-

You right. In TC11 (x86_64) there is already perl_xml_parser.tcz, but it has different name in the x86 repo. Now it's OK.

Hi Juanito,
thank you for your reply.
I send you the part of dmesg to describe the problem in mdadm.tcz in tc-11 x86_64 as follows :
md: md1 stopped.
md1: detected capacity change from 0 to 85832237056
md1: p1
md: md0 stopped.
md/raid0:md0: cannot assemble multi-zone RAID0 with default_layout setting
md/raid0: please set raid0.default_layout to 1 or 2
md: pers->run() failed ...
md: md0 stopped.
md: md0 stopped.
md/raid0:md0: cannot assemble multi-zone RAID0 with default_layout setting
md/raid0: please set raid0.default_layout to 1 or 2
md: pers->run() failed ...
md: md0 stopped.
So md1 works, but md0 doesn't.
That problem doesn't occur in tc-10. Ma be a kernel problem ?
cliorx linux-kernel-sources-env.sh now find the source, but run 1 and half hour to finish. So I think that isn't normal in comparison to TC-10. Maybe we ask coreplayer2 to rebuild ?
Thank you for your help
Ricky
[EDIT]: Added code tags. Rich

If you search on the error message: md/raid0:md0: cannot assemble multi-zone RAID0 with default_layout setting
md/raid0: please set raid0.default_layout to 1 or 2..there seem to be a lot of hits explaining how to fix the problem.

To prepare the kernel source to compile a single module, something like this used to work: $ cd linux-4.19.10
$ make mrproper
$ cp /tmp/config-4.19.10-tinycore64 ./.config
$ make oldconfig
$ make prepare
$ make modules_prepare
$ cp /tmp/Module.symvers-4.19.10-tinycore64.gz ./Module.symvers.gz
$ gunzip Module.symvers.gz
$ make SUBDIRS=scripts/mod
..and would end after a few seconds with: Building modules, stage 2.
MODPOST 0 modules
Now with the 5.4.3 kernel this no longer works and instead all of the kernel modules are built, which takes ages.

Hi Juanito,
thank you for your reply.
I will try your propositions.

Good afternoon Tinycore team.
The package udisks is missing on TC 11.x x86.
-
udisks was not in tc-10.x x86..
The CorePure64 build notes are here if you'd like to give it a go: http://tinycorelinux.net/11.x/x86_64/tcz/src/udisks/
-
Hi TinyCore Team,
I'm happy to run tc-11.0 successfully with almost all of the extensions I was using before.
However KeePassX 0.4.3 actually is not in the tce repository, I cannot find it.
As a workaround I copy keepassx.tcz* from a frugal tc-10.1 installation to a tc-11.0 one.
With the Apps Browser I do a Load App Locally and it downloads all of the dependencies required with qt-4.x additional to the qt-5.x.
Now KeePassX works, but VLC (that uses qt-5.x) does no longer. Only one of the two will do it,
Many thanks in advance for your help
-
There's a keepassx in the x86_64 repo if that's any help..
-
libattr.tcz was in the 10.X repo but is not in 11.X :-\
-
Did you try attr?
