Hi xor
Is that from firefox_getLatest.tcz ?
That extension fetches the current version of Firefox.
I don't see any errors listed.
Why do you think there is a problem?
-
I think the point being made is that you have to reboot to access the new firefox extension - which would be the expected behaviour.

The extension and update is working perfectly [emoji2]

Hi xor

If you want something that works directly, there is firefox-ESR.tcz.
If you want something more current, then use firefox_getLatest.tcz and follow the instructions it printed out.
firefox_getLatest.tcz only needs to be run once to create the extension.
Due to the frequency of Firefox updates by Mozilla, prepackaged versions of the latest Firefox are no longer offered.

The problem here as I see it is “xor” is very confused on how Tinycorelinux operates.
“xor” is expecting a scatter type install which would allow the internal Firefox update to work as intended. Fact is Tinycorelinux will revert to the last created extension version on every reboot, his expectations of previously installed Firefox was updated directly is so wrong because this has never been possible in Tinycorelinux.
The solution is of course to run Firefox_getLatest extension to create a new extension containing an updated version of Firefox which is then persistent across reboots.
