Title: Problems with wine
Post by: Ruslik on March 10, 2019, 12:04:57 PM
Hello. I'm beginner Linux user.
I installed Tiny Core Linux on my old PC with 512MB RAM, Pentium i386 and 40GB of HDD after I had installed on them another "lightweight" distres like a Slitaz, Puppy Linux and Antix. Because no one worked faster as a Tiny Core Linux.
But I have a little problem with that OS. At first I didn't realise that OS is loaded from RAM (or maybe I wrong, correct me).
When i was trying to install wine plugins after wine installing Tiny Core Linux was frozen and after reboot had a problem (it says that waitforx is failed). What I do wrong? Is it possible to install app on hdd (In my PC it's a sda1)?

Since wine downloads/installs hundreds of mb of stuff to your home folder, you would be better off creating a permanent home on your hd - see the wiki on how to do this.
