Hi T-one
To copy, place the mouse cursor at the starting location. Then while holding down the left button, drag the mouse to highlight the
the text to copy and then release the button.
To paste, move the mouse cursor to the destination and and left click to define the location. Then center click and the text
will be pasted.

In addition to Rich's answer....
centre click means click the wheel (if you have one )downwards
and if you do not have a wheel mouse, press both the left and right mouse buttons down together that should result in the same effect.
Alternativey, you could install terminals that other pull down menus eg lxterminal gnome-terminal etc,
the selection is the same process as Rich described......
but you then click the pulldown -> edit and select copy
and if you already have something in your clipboard to paste pulldown edit -> and select paste

in addition to the great tips above, here is one other :
You can copy text from GUI apps like the Browser etc. with ctrl+c and then
Paste it on the terminal with shift+ins keys pressed together. At times, ctrl+shift+ins also works.
Also, in the terminal itself, you can select text, by dragging the mouse ( i.e. highlight the text ) and press ctrl+ins to copy and then Paste on the terminal with shift+ins keys pressed together
Hope this helps.

Thanks for all your good suggestions. I should have a bit more specific. I knew how to copy/paste with the mouse. I was referring to the mouse/glide pad on my laptop, only 2 buttons.
Coming from Windows, I'm used to ctrl+C and ctrl+V key combinations.
Nathan_SR's suggestion fits the bill ctrl+INS copies and SHIFT+INS pasts, just what I was looking for.
Thanks all for your suggestions.

Further, I have created a new topic for the benefit of newcomers to the terminal application, here : http://forum.tinycorelinux.net/index.php/topic,22130.0.html
