I suggest in future releases the following lines be added to .xfiletool.lst.

home/tc/.xfe/trash
home/tc/.mozilla

If these programs are used, a lot of files are saved, and backup takes a long time.

Xfe saves deleted files, and they are backed up. If a lot of files are deleted, backup takes a long time.

I know these lines can be added by users, but I am thinking of new users who don't yet understand about adding to .xfiletool.lst.

Wouldn't adding .mozilla remove all firefox user data, such as bookmarks too?

It is saved in home or encrypted home and backup.

It would only affect people not using home or encrypted home.

Backup is a supported option alone, can be used to back up /home. It would anger quite a few users if it would automatically ignore firefox bookmarks & settings.

I havn't analyzed this in detail.

It might be an idea to work out which files need to be saved to keep bookmarks and settings, but not the large amount of data that firefox saves.

I know how to add folders to .xfiletool.lst. I am thinking of making it easier for new users.


It would be a good idea to let people know in the firefox info file to add home/tc/.mozilla to .xfiletool.lst, unless they don't use home or encrypted home.

It works normally without being in backup if home or encrypted home is used.

A similar thing could be done with Minefield.


What about Xfe?

I think it is a good file manager and use it.

It adds deleted files to backup.

I think it would be a good idea to add home/tc/.xfe/trash to .xfiletool.lst in the next release.

If you don't want to do this, a second option would be to let people know in the Xfe info file to add home/tc/.xfe/trash to .xfiletool.lst.
