Title: Forum login
Post by: coreplayer2 on March 24, 2018, 10:58:00 PM
Anyone else having difficulty logging in to this forum?

I’ve attempted to log in via Firefox and IE but am unable to log in with “Your session timed out while posting, please go back and try again”

Same here.

But obviously you must know the solution to the problem, otherwise you could not have created this thread? Or did you login from another device which had your login saved? Anyway:

The solution to the problem is to use the dedicated login page:

http://forum.tinycorelinux.net/index.php?action=login

That way it works. Because the issue only occurs when using the two text fields for username and PW in the upper left corner of the page.

Well, if you look at the end of his post, it says:

I had the same issue, but figure it out after a few days...

The problem was that I had formerly always used the username and password boxes under the "Did you miss your activation email?" well after being a registered user.

That no longer works for login of already-registered users, and seems to be reserved for new members needing to enter their initial registration activation.

So now I just use a login-link which takes me to a small window which works as an already established user.

Took me a few days of head scratching. :)
