Title: TinyCore Synth
Post by: PDP-8 on February 28, 2018, 05:50:19 PM
Weird - installed latest 9.0 TC, and had a mind-bending experience figuring out why I like it so much...

Had early 70's Roxy Music going in the background...  TC makes me feel like a budding Brian Eno, Trent Reznor <insert favorite artist here> behind the controls of an EMS VCS 3, MiniMoog or similar with the Revox rolling in the background.

With the "core" family, you get to make your own "patch" and make it your own.  Rise to stardom, or like me, play Mary Had a Little Lamb.

And no, I'm not smoking anything.  Just a strange observance. :)

Ah yes, so many artists - so many good memories.

'Gotta give credit where it's due - the creator of the studio, Peter Zinovieff, used PDP-8's as a process controller / sequencer and he is still active today.  But not with pdp-8's. :)

Welcome to the machine indeed!  Like Tinycore, ideas and expression never go out of style..
