I got the panel thing for openbox too, tint2.tce

and so how do I get tin2 working or how to get firefox, apps windows back aftre minimizing?

I can only guess as a former user of Fluxbox, but I think you can middle-click on the desktop to get a menu of iconized applications, and choose your app from that menu.

to call tint2 add line below to .xsession at your /home/tc

[ "$DESKTOP" == "openbox" ] && /usr/local/bin/tint2 -c /usr/local/etc/xdg/tint2/sxnsx-tint2rc

you can change tint2rc with other configuration file @ /usr/local/etc/xdg/tint2

I'm getting a rewrite over the tint2 conf files.

I'm trying to get the taskbar to appear at the bottom but the conf file keeps getting overwritten (when I reboot).

PS: I'm really diggin Tiny Core. It's funny (now) thinking that Puppy Linux is "bloated"; though I know it's not compared to other distros but there's something about a tiny minimal/base distro like Tiny Core that really appeals to me. I'm hooked.

why not try to make a new or another conf file ?
and call it "tint2 -c your_config_file_rc", or maybe
put it on your local home directory, when reboot
your config_file will be backed up.

rc files at /usr/local/etc/xdg/tint2/tint2rc are for
example only.
