seems like i never advertised it here, but i updated my irssi-otr and libotr extensions that allow more secure communication over irc (and with help of bitlbee also over other protocols like jabber).
since the irssi version was old and also had security vulns it also got updated.

Hiro,  thanks for updating irssi, it works with some tweaking..   Not sure if you've seen this thread regarding even the latest irssi ??

I hadn't seen the other thread, thanks. This got compiled for 5.x and 6.x, but i'd like it to work everywhere. Will check

This should also work on 7.x now.
