Title: Veracrypt?
Post by: Cypherpunky Brewster on October 30, 2016, 02:21:30 PM: Could VeraCrypt ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VeraCrypt ) be added? You should be able to copy at least some of the info from the existing TrueCrypt ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TrueCrypt ) extension. Thanks!

VeraCrypt -- basically a fork of TrueCrypt with more security holes fixed after an independent code audit -- is the most popular of those solutions. VeraCrypt can open TrueCrypt encrypted volumes but TrueCrypt cannot open VeraCrypt encrypted volumes.

I will try, but I will be facing a learning curve. I searched an found http://wiki.tinycorelinux.net/wiki:creating_extensions so I will start there.

Was I wrong to post an extension request?

I have been struggling with making this work, and so far have failed. Either I convince someone to do this (it should be a simple edit of the existing Truecrypt package) or I will have to go back to using Ubuntu. A shame, really; tiny core does everything I need to do other than accessing my Veracrypt partition. :(
