Title: Hardware graphics acceleration without window manager?

Hello, I understand that I am able to write to the framebuffer directly from bash, but this seems like it's not very fast.  Is there some other way I can maybe rasterize triangles and draw stuff using mesa or something else?  Preferably from C?

The new Xorg stack will come soon to piCore-8 It contains MESA and and the VC4 driver.
