I'm trying to build an up-to-date (TC 7.1) version of my TC web jukebox; it used lighttpd but when I load the current version I see only itself as a dependency; I tried calling it and it complained that it couldn't open libpcre.so.0
as an aside, is there another lightweight web server I should try?

Hi donquixote2u
The last version that had a .dep file was in TC4:
http://tinycorelinux.net/4.x/x86/tcz/lighttpd.tcz.dep
-
lighthttp.tcz depends on pcre.tcz (at least).
http://tinycorelinux.net/7.x/x86/tcz/lighttpd.tcz.dep is an empty file.
-
lighttpd dep files added to x86 tc-5.x, 6.x and 7.x repos

To answer your question:
Take a look at the monkey web server:
http://monkey-project.com/ (http://monkey-project.com/)

monkey is powering tinycorelinux.net (except Forums) and crashing frequently for unknown reason.
