Try recordmydesktop.tcz and report if you face errors.

Hi malikawan
You could try  ffmpeg.  They have a static version available here:

i try  ffmpeg but pc direct off it never save the video. Basically i want to record desktop and when pc shutdown due to power cutoff or any other reason then the captured video is saved.

The recordmydesktop extension maintainer is no longer active and the latest source dates from 2008 - let me see if it compiles...

I have install recordmydesktop and recordmydesktop-gtk but there is three point....
1. Advanced Setting not open so i donot change the FPS setting because in default whe i open terminal and write 123456789 while recording and save. And when i open record video it only show on terminal 18 and end video means it will record too slow and by pass 234567 which i write on teminal. Also when start the program there is no way to end video except i close it with sudo kill PID.
2. When computer shutdown due to power cut off it never save the video.
3. I run recordmydesktop from command line so when video end than it start converting video but i want all these things in background.

Unless your computer has a signal that indicates power is going down, I don't know how you expect to be able to save
anything when power is cut off.
