Title: tinycore home=xxx opt=xxx, is this "scatterproof" or part of scattermode?
Post by: linus72 on June 16, 2009, 06:14:09 PM
ok, I know sensei Roberts abhors scatter mode install, but is home=/opt= a variation of that
or is home/opt pristine each boot, as core is?
just curious is all, so what parts of system suffer system rot?
like var, etc, bin maybe or everything cept home/opt?
by the way, great work TC team!
thanks :o

The home and opt and local boot options all point to persistent locations that potentially suffer from corruption over time.  Any change you make to these directories will stay changed, and corruption from fragmentation is aways a possibility.
