Title: Totally persistent?
Post by: loppanjo on April 02, 2016, 05:54:08 PM
Hi there everyone, just started using TinyCore on my Rasp Pi to create a web server.
As I have understood it's possible to make the storage persistent but only for "/home" and "/opt".(Correct me if im wrong)

The problem is when I install apache the whole apache thing is in "/usr/../../.." and /usr get reset after every reboot. Is it possible to make this persistent to? or even better is it possible to make the whole sd-card persistent soo everything will get saved?

hi loppanjo,

If you are loading an apache extension it will be restored after reboot. You will probably need to add configuration file(s) to /opt/.filetool.lst

The SD card is persistent, I suspect you are loading into memory and not the SD card.

The book, http://tinycorelinux.net/book.html, has all the information you need. One example is setting up a web server.

regards
Greg
