Title: Boot screen
Post by: gerits on June 15, 2009, 10:21:24 AM
When booting you get the following image:
http://wiki.tinycorelinux.com/tiki-browse_image.php?galleryId=1&sort_mode=imageId_asc&imageId=3&scalesize=o

Now I would like to replace this one with another image, is this possible?

Yes, if you change the image in the tinycore kernel patch and then re-compile the kernel

Yes, if you change the image in the tinycore kernel patch and then re-compile the kernel

That would be a bit to much trouble, is there any other way to replace the whole text thing with a splash screen?

You may play with Splashy:

I'd still rather use the original with a new image..

Can you explain where I have to edit the image and how I can recompile it?

Replace the PPM image with your own at linux-2.6.29.1-tinycore/drivers/video/logo.

yeah, I'm a bit to unadvanced for that.. Maybe that would be a great feature for version 2.1.. An option to customize the boot process a little more..
