Title: I found a new site for man pages
Post by: ttz on January 28, 2016, 03:02:27 PM
https://www.mankier.com/ (https://www.mankier.com/)

From 'About':
Goal: make Linux man pages easier.

I've always turned to http://linux.die.net/ (http://linux.die.net/). I was looking for info on aterm so lets compare

http://linux.die.net/man/1/aterm (http://linux.die.net/man/1/aterm)

https://www.mankier.com/1/aterm# (https://www.mankier.com/1/aterm#)

Hope this provides an additional useful reference!

Not getting it.
linux.die.net shows up in a web search quite high in the list, and I've made use of it several times, but I don't see the difference to mankier.com ?

Difference, to me, is topical search links on left. This adds a bit of help for the non-expert; summarizes at a glance. Earth shaking? No.
