If they are up to date, no point in asking which to update. But /tmp/PKGEXTRAFILEMD5SUMLIST should not be missing, I will look into it.

Though if folks would still like a select menu to come up, I can work it in. It will just have no functional use.

Plus then user is assured there are no updates anywhere, not just specific SCE.
