Sample setup for serial device:
sudo setserial /dev/ttyS0 uart none
sudo modprobe lirc_serial
sudo modprobe lirc_dev

Use mode2 to test.

A config file is needed for a remote/tv. The
default location of this file is /etc/lirc.conf.
There are many remote/tv config files available
at the lirc website. Otherwise use irrecord and
follow the instructions.

This update eliminated the dependencies for lirc. The dep file for the tcz can be deleted.
