Title: micro core add X, no mouse?
Post by: krooooo on November 10, 2015, 10:09:30 AM
HI

I need a light desktop, so I installed the micro core and use tce-ab to install Xprogs  xf86-video-vmware xfce4-* pcmanfm  and then "startx" , the desktop shown, but only a wallpaper, no icon and no mouse, after reboot I installed xf86-input-mouse and xf86-input-vmmouse(I use it in vmware), but after "startx" still no mouse...

please, how to add the mouse to desktop?

thanks

You need to also install a window manager such as flwm_topside.
The missing mouse is likely a vmware configuration issue.

I would start with TC instead of MC and add other apps on top of a working flwm GUI.

I installed openbox, OK, mouse shown!

Thanks a lot!
