Title: Well, this might be interesting......
Post by: SpootDev on September 15, 2015, 11:46:33 AM
Just found this project this weekend. Looks promising as it looks to be very close as to what I've wanted to do. A minimal linux install that I can build upon. Spent a week fighting LFS and getting slapped in the face with obscure errors now and then......and it's sooooo tedious.
Usually when I find a hard core (hehe) project like this it's just a bunch of crotchety old greybeards like me, but I see actually helpful discussion in the forums. Awesome work guys.
My project is based on python, twisted, postgresql, ffserver and ffmpeg for media management and streaming server. Any "gotchas" I should be aware of before I dive in?  :)

I played around with rygel and twisted a while ago (the extensions are in the 4.x repo), but since nas seem to stream media out of the box these days I let it drop..
