Title: Where is mkfs in CorePure64 6.3?
Post by: lemming on June 16, 2015, 06:19:54 AM
I am installing 6.3 to a clean PC and was trying to format a partition with the command mkfs.vfat but it comes up with "command not found".
From memory, when I installed 6.1, mkfs was just there, with no tcz to load prior to issuing the command. Where can i find it?

If you use the apps gui "provides" function to search on mkfs.vfat, you'll find it in the dosfstools extension.

Thanks for the prompt reply Juanito. I must be getting senile because I can't remember using the dosfstools.tcz last time.
Works a treat though!  Cheers
