Title: bcm2708-i2s: Enable MMAP support via a DT property and overlay
Post by: resi on June 11, 2015, 07:02:15 AM
Hi,

i want to check this out on my Raspberry Pi B+ with piCore:  bcm2708-i2s: Enable MMAP support via a DT property and overlay  (http://bcm2708-i2s: Enable MMAP support via a DT property and overlay)

Unfortunately, i'm a noob... Did you see any chance, this could work with release 6.1-beta? If yes, which steps are need to taken?

Thank you

Klaus

This change is at the kernel level.    You would have to build your own kernel and remaster piCore to try it.

Thank you.  I had already expected that and i feared it  :'( ... it's now 15 years ago that i build a kernel. And that was no cross-compiling. I see, i have now some hours to do... Have you any helpfull hints or links for me?

Building a kernel is not hard to do, but installing a kernel is more involved in piCore.    There are several threads on this already.
