Hello

been using Microcore here and the termianl tty framebuffer.
No X windows or window manager......just tty1

Was using Fbterm for multiple terminal windows so that

window
a) has a graphical web browser in the window
b) clockywock (clock)
c) mplayer for a movie
d) mpg123 for music
e) an editor
f) etc etc

when is it possible to install a smaller font?

Just for interest - what web browser are you using.

well...was trying to use netsurf-fb....

it works with just the netsurf if "tinycore" was installed then Xvesa removed
and then drop to the terminal
.

but then i progressed onto just using microcore....and not anything to do
with "X" or evan a window manager

it's good in the sense that it just needs about 30 megs of ram in the machine
to function with useful tools inside the tty1 terminals of Fbterm.

You can get good use out of very old computers. There seems to be oceans
of frame buffer tools...for PDF viewing..and tons of other stuff and it's kind
of nice to learn about it and leave "X" windows and window managers for a while

Arachne browser can do framebuffer and through Dosbox from the Terminal,
