Since (per bmarkus) we can now only edit posts for 30 minutes after posting, is there a recommended way to mark threads (e.g. bug reports) as solved? Before the original poster could update the topic to "SOLVED". Maybe we should just reply indicating the topic is resolved and lock the thread?

Just add a new post saying "Issue solved"
