Core 4 is at 4.7.7.  Why would you run 4.3.1?
uzbl requires Xorg.
Works for me with 4.7.7.

You don't need a CD burner. Just download the core.gz and vmlinuz.

OK gerald thanks

i will download those files. Then boot the 4.3.1 cd and replace the two files in question..... right.

THankyou for the browser advice. The uzbl did work correclty on 4.3.1 and was interesting to
use and test out.

Sometimes I rename the new downloaded kernel and initrd and change my boot loader's config so I can switch back if needed (never was the case). But I have aslo just replaced those files at runtime since I believe they are completely loaded into RAM anyway.

Again, read the book and the wiki articles.  We are not here to handhold people who refuse to read.
The answer is you can't.

yeah

i knew it was not possible...so

it's not that i refuse to read, just that it's harder for me, that's all.

i may install TCL to HDD or something

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

i tried to run DWB browser but it fails on 4.3.1   (even tried with Xorg too)  fails at webkit

did you get that browser working and how?

Dwb works fine here.

will try it again here.

Just installed TCL to the hard drive proper.....which worked fine and boots.

Will now upgrade it to 4.7.7 with those two files...and try dwb again

thanks
