hi friends
libreoffice version 4.3.x for dcore-jessie has no icons :(
thank you for your help.
-
I don't have a Jessie desktop right now, but try importing the below package and see if it helps.
libreoffice-gnome
Also, try using the oxygen icon theme.
-
hi jason,
i have no luck with libreoffice-gnome, too.
the same result after adding oxygen icon theme :(
-
Ok. For some reason my mouse is frozen with a current desktop import in dCore-jessie. I will try again and see if I can look into it.
-
Ok, I re-imported and the mouse works on a Jessie desktop, must have been a temporary bug in Debian.
I have looked into it, using an icon theme in xfce4 and also changing perms of /usr/share/libreoffice/share/config/images_oxygen.zip as well as copying it to the filesystem, and also adding the zip package as a dep of libreoffice does not help.
Below is a link saying is is a bug in libreoffice 4.3.x. So for now watiing for a Debian or upstream fix.

hi jason,
libreoffice4.1 left the repositories.
the actual libreoffice in version 4.3 still misses the icons...
do you think that it's still a bug in the reps or do you see a chance to solve it?
thank you for your help and support.

I will import and look at libreoffice soon.

Hi
still no icons in dCore-trusty, even with the libreofice ppa.
Ok using libreoffice from the bodhi repo, but can't change the user interface language.
-
I will look into this next week. I am out of town until Sun and will be peeking in here and will keep a 'to do list' but not able to work on dCore until after then.
-
Ok, back and working on dCore. I will look into the icon issue.

Don't know if this is helpful but there is no such problem when using LXDE/Openbox.
-
I am on dCore-vivid now, I don't see menu icons but since it works for you in LXDE it is likely an issue of a dependency or icon theme or a desktop setting somewhere. I won't spend hours looking for this as it is a minor issue but hopefully one of us will notice what the solution is.

using the bodhi linux repo I have a working libreoffice 5 with icons on the tollbar and also in italian!
-
Great!

Hi! I'm a new user of dCore-jessie. I had the same problem. The fix was to add these dependencies:
libreoffice-style-galaxy
libreoffice-style-hicontrast
libreoffice-style-oxygen
libreoffice-style-tango
I suppose that just one of these is enough, but I wanted them all.
-
Thanks, I have added them as deps of libreoffice. If someone can test and determine there is only one needed, then I will trim the others from the list. At least for now this should just work.
-
It doesn't work with libreoffice from ppa in trusty,so I keep using libreoffice from the bodhi repo.

Hi
Icons appear now on libreoffice from http://ppa.launchpad.net/libreoffice/ppa/ubuntu on trusty!!
