Title: getFlash11 alsa-pulseaudio update for x86
Post by: coreplayer2 on September 16, 2014, 05:57:41 AM
I took the liberty in updating getFlash11.tcz to support both OSS and alsa-pulseaudio, I hope that's ok with everyone.

getFlash11 for tc-5.x x86 now includes both

libflashsupport.so (with OSS support)  and
libflashsupport.so (compiled for alsa and pulseaudio support).

After installing the Sound modules with support for your system then run getFlash11, a flash11.tcz extension is created with support for the currently installed sound modules.   If changing sound modules eg: from OSS to the latest Alsa+Pulseaudio simply re-run getFlash again and reboot.

tested in chromium-browser, firefox-official_v32 and firefox_v21 all use OSS or alsa or alsa+pulseaudio with Flash11

will submit asap

edit: typo

Thanks for the update coreplayer2!

I just remembered some minutes ago, I tested it but got a short-read on the downloaded flash archive. Script exited with error. Tryed a few times on two days. TC 5.4rc1.
Downloading the archive manually did work without a problem. I made the extension by hand then.

I can do further testing though if you have an idea what could have gone wrong.

I believe a "short read" error is a corrupted archive..?

Could possibly be wrong command or tar version, but since this script has been in use for a long time I doubt that is the case..

I'll try to duplicate
