The current stable release (Apr 19, 2009) works well on tc2.  Download has static binaries that work right out of the box....recovers deleted files, lost partitions,  etc.

This may be useful, so static version 6.11.3 has been submitted.  Fortunately, it's GPL

edit: there's also a smaller, non-static tce version 6.11.0 in the rep (photorec.tce).
