Title: TinyCore iPXE HTTP Boot Support with Extensions
Post by: omersiar on June 07, 2014, 02:16:06 PM
Hello,

I'm trying to find out a way to boot TinyCore from HTTP using iPXE. It actually boots to $ command prompt, but as you know does not load extensions because of memdisk iso handling. I kindly ask you to adding a feature like loading extensions form HTTP ? or iso file possible? (mydata.gz also). Like PLOP Linux http://www.plop.at/en/ploplinux/networkboot-linux.html#pxel6 (http://www.plop.at/en/ploplinux/networkboot-linux.html#pxel6) Thank you. I think iPXE booting Tiny Core really opens a new world how we can use Tiny Core.

If you mean public repo, then no.
If you mean personal repo, you could try symlinking to netboot dir, though not sure if that would work.

That's not really friendly to anyone's bandwidth, repeatedly grabbing the same things, when you could be caching them locally.
