Title: HPLIP.tcz with --enable-hpijs-install
Post by: Chatty on May 11, 2014, 10:07:31 AM
Could somebody with a working development environment please compile HPLIP with hpijs configured to be built? This thread (https://answers.launchpad.net/hplip/+question/148909) gives an example configure statement.

Is there a problem with the existing hplip extension?

Well, it was compiled without the above mentioned parameter which is ok for most printers but none mine (http://www.openprinting.org/printer/HP/HP-LaserJet_1000). This is, what HP says (http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web/models/laserjet/hp_laserjet_1000.html#note8). There would be an alternative open-source driver (http://foo2zjs.rkkda.com/). Hmm, could have requested that as a new package as well.
