Title: Cicada 3301 using Core?
Post by: Lee on January 10, 2014, 06:01:43 PM
Anyone following the big puzzle as described at http://uncovering-cicada.wikia.com/wiki/What_Happened_Part_1_%282013%29 ??

One of the clues is a bootable iso in a dropbox and the description says:

Quote
It is possible to interrupt the boot sequence by pressing CTRL+C. User "tc" is active and does not require a password, is in sudoers file with no prompt. `sudo ash` to raise to root....

Edit: yes, its a remaster of core 4.7.2

I saw a warning about that several months ago. It was from someone who claimed to have been a member. He said they're just another gang after power, and listed some things they've done.

I'm afraid I didn't save it. There's a chance the warning was fake, but thought I'd mention.
