Title: LibreOffice
Post by: str4ng3r on December 22, 2013, 12:15:29 PM
Hi you all.

Is it possible to have LibreOffice in the repository anytime soon?

I'm struggling to compile it.

Merry Christmas to you all.

Dang.

I've download libreoffice source code, and tried to compile it.
It presented some errors which I was able to solve, until it appeared errors related to Java.
I downloaded, compiled and installed Java RunTime 1.7.0_u45 and it passed the first check for java, then i got stopped at javac... the ./configure couldnt find it. And this is where i hit a wall. Tried to compile openjdk6, but it asks me for ANT... downloaded ANT source code and when compiling it, asks for javac.... ok... i'm about to quit.

If you have any ideas I'm all ears/eyes.

Thanks and regards.

I'm really not so sure that something as big and bloated as libreoffice will ever compile and run on this sort of hardware.

..however, you could use the switch "--without-java"
