Look That's my TC-1.4.2-USB playing Portable-MyDSL and Poratble-TTYLinux off my usb!
TC is awesome!
-
Hmm, one of the nice Ubuntu Satanic wallpapers ;)
-
No Doubt-Ubuntu SE rocks and is my main distro along with Slackware 12.2 and Now TC-1.4.2 which really rocks!
As for Bathory wallpaper-she rocks the mostest!
Check out MyDSL-Portable if you wish.

I've been trying to make a Portable-Tinycore, but I keep getting a kernel panic/lock up
hopefully I'll get it someday!

As for Bathory wallpaper-she rocks the mostest!
Is that a bathtub or a casket?
-
That's a naked woman-the rest doesn't matter, but maybe it's a casket?
-
Fortunately, there are no women on the board....(except maybe softwaregirl, meo,.....,....,).
-
Hey, you might wanna check out the new TC-1.4.2-USB at my site-it rocks.

No doubt!
I'm trying to make the Tinycore-Portable- but I keep getting a kernel panic and freezing at boot up!!
Damn it Jim!
Any ideas? ???
-
Are you booting native or within qemu?. I use the tcvd command with a qemu image.
alex
-
Ahhhhh; I'm kinda a newbie too dog, what is "tcvd"?
Oh, Tinycore VirtualDrive?
OK, at the append line?
I'm trying to boot it with Portable-Qemu( http://multidistro.com/downloads/dslqemu/dslqemu.html )
and it's freaking out!
Any help I appreciate!

hi, this is my .bat file.
qemu\qemu.exe -L qemu/ -m 384 -cdrom tinycore_1.4.2.iso -boot c -hdb harddisk.img -append "vga=785 quiet tce=hdb/tce restore=hdb"
May be you have an issue with the installation in the virtual drive hda. Are you trying to install for a special reason? Why not use *.iso or kernel/initrd qemu boot options instead?
-
I dig it and will try it!
You got that on USB or it runs from the Qemu installed on your OS(Windows?)
thanks for the help!
-
I've got qemu running from usb along with the qemu image.
alex
-
Yea, but running on Windows from USB-yes?(qemu.exe)
Can you run it from usb in Linux without having Qemu installed?
-
sorry, only tried under windows.
