Hi all,
I got ezremaster to work on one machine. It's fantastic and I wish there was a good help video or tutorial on the different sections (eq. initram, load, apps etc). Maybe I'll start a new thread with that but for now:
I have TinyCore 5.02 installed (frugal) to a HDD and when the CD boots up I would expect it to boot to the CD version of 5.02 without my extra apps loaded but the HDD apps are showing up loaded in the menu. I'm guessing there is a boot code for this and if so it would be nice to be in the boot menu.
:)

Hi nassausky
I think you want the base norestore boot codes.
-
Show us the output of 'showbootcodes'.
-
showbootcodes:
loglevel=3 cde cde initrd=/boot/core.gz BOOT_IMAGE=/boot/vmlinuz
I will try with "base norestore" added to the default boot code. Thanks

Hi nassausky
From the FAQ page here:
http://tinycorelinux.net/faq.html#bootcodes
tinycore base Skip TCE load only the base system
tinycore norestore Turn off the automatic restore
-
Thanks I have seen those bootcodes numerous times and some are more clear than others. Didn't exactly know what effect "tinycore base Skip TCE load only the base system" would have. Skip TCE load doesn't make 100% sense when I was looking at it. I guess it would mean that it isn't going to load any settings or extensions from a custom TCE. I could have sworn I tried that boot code last week without luck. Thanks

Hi nassausky
It would probably make more sense with a comma in the explanation:
Skip TCE, load only the base system
