sometimes my mouse hangs up .
can anybody suggest application to do above ?

Depending on your configuration, you can try Shift+NumLock, and then use the numeric pad as a mouse. See here:
http://en.linuxreviews.org/HOWTO_use_the_numeric_keyboard_keys_as_mouse_in_XOrg
You may have to try with Ctrl+Shift+Numlock.

Hi manit123
sometimes my mouse hangs up .
I know this sounds obvious, but did you try unplugging your mouse, wait a few seconds, and plugging it back in?

Unplugging is good advice for a USB mouse but I'd hesitate to do so with a mouse with a PS/2 type connector. I've never seen it happen with a mouse, but I have seen both motherboards and keyboards damaged by unplugging/plugging while powered up. Since the PS/2 connector is the same for keyboards and mice, I's assume there's a potential for trouble with the mouse too. Of course, the USB connector is designed to be hot pluggable.
Just last night I got another HMD computer and when I tried it out it failed to start (acted like a bad power supply) with a PS/2 keyboard but works fine with a USB keyboard.

i have PS2 mouse .
In windows you can move & click using numpad , ctrl & shoft keys. Isn't there any such alternative in linux ?

Hi manit123
When I hit Shift-NumLock I hear a beep and I can move the mouse pointer with the numeric keypad. If I hit Shift-NumLock
again, I hear a beep with a higher pitch, and the numeric keypad reverts to normal operation. This is under Xorg7.5.
