Hey all. I downloaded Core Plus 5 this morning, and am thrilled that it has better display parameters. I was not liking the 1024x768 that the older TC versions had. Here's the dilemma: as a ham, fldigi is a GREAT piece of digital software for use on the air. But as of yet, it's not available in the 5.0 repos. It's still available in the 4.x ones, though. Is there any way to specifically choose the older repos...or can I download fldigi and its dependencies directly??

I will make a new fldigi.tcz for 5.0 during the weekend.

We'd very much like users to test extensions from 4.x on 5.x and report if they work so that they can be moved to the 5.x repo - there is a thread in the forums specifically for this:

You can download 4.x extensions directly using: $ wget http://www.tinycorelinux.net/4.x/x86/tcz/extension_name.tcz
..don't forget that you'll need the dep file too.

Unfortunately FLDIGI compilation fails with an error on 5.0, need some investigation why. In the mean time will check 4.x version on 5.0

question? Is it possible to downlaod the extension plus deb file plus info file from (previous) old
repo and then copy over to your new system and do a local install from there?
This way we could try out whether the extension works?

This question was answered in these forums yesterday, but:
$ wget http://www.tinycorelinux.net/4.x/x86/tcz/libxml++.tcz.dep
..for example
