Title: [SOLVED] Core Artwork
Post by: Zendrael on September 16, 2013, 12:32:22 PM
Hello all!

I just wanted to ask if it would be cool to have a section on the artwork of the graphical flavors (Tiny and Plus) of Core?

Maybe a custom GTK, QT and WM themes, wallpapers... some discussion about it for the next releases?

Again, just an idea...

Thanks!

A logo that looks good against a black background for a boot splash in plymouth would be nice too.

Yeah, that would be nice too!

The idea is NOT to ship these themes with any flavor of the Core, but have avaiable custom core themes for those who want to use it.

In the path of the Core, I suggest it to be lightweight themes, maybe flat ones... not because of the actual "flat tendency" but because flat designs requires less memory and processing (as Core does) and still can be used in slow machines.

Maybe if we have a topic about it in the forum, we could mount an Artwork Team too, users could send mockups...

I guess a custom theme would imply an extension, so you could start a new thread under the tce section

Hi Juanito!

Sure, there will be extensions for that! Also, someone maybe not require QT themes, or GTK themes or perhaps is not using Openbox or Metacity... the natural way would be to have something like:
Could you create a forum about Core Artwork discussion?

Thanks!
