I'm working on a new machine with an msi B85M-P33 motherboard (USB 3.0, SATA 6Gb/s) with a Haswell Core i5 4430 3.0GHz quad-core CPU, 8GB RAM, and a 256 GB SSD. I had initially tried CorePlus 4.7.7, which wouldn't boot properly, and asked about that in another thread http://forum.tinycorelinux.net/index.php/topic,15882.0.html (http://forum.tinycorelinux.net/index.php/topic,15882.0.html). In that thread, curaga and coreplayer2 recommended that I use the 5.0 series.
I find that CorePlus 5.0rc1 boots just fine, but USB keyboard and mouse don't work with any of the window managers. I've tried all of the front and back USB ports, with no joy.
However, using borrowed PS/2 keyboard and mouse, CorePlus 5.0 boots perfectly!
I'm assuming that the USB issue will get sorted in due time.
Thanks for your help, curaga and coreplayer2 :)
PS: For what it's worth, eth0 configures properly with DHCP on this Haswell machine.

Good to hear, perhaps Ethernet is specific to the board (will investigate) because the newest chips on ASUS boards require the latest driver revision.
As for the USB, have you installed " usb-utils.tcz " extension ? then run lsusb to verify your devices are detected?

Do you have " xf86-input-evdev.tcz " extension installed ? which should be loaded as a dep of Xorg
