Title: Video drivers
Post by: slkpg on July 02, 2013, 04:41:30 PM
Rpm installs my video drivers in /lib/firmware and /usr/lib/dri. How do I make these persistent, and get the kernel to load them. Or does X load them. New core needed, or can I just do a link.

You make an extension out of them.
See the wiki.

Thanks, easy. Think I have the right drivers for intel n2600. Video is called psb. It wants libwsbm, ok. Then libvs-X11, ok. Then libpvr2d.so. Scrounged this off of ubuntu. But no matter where I put it, the loader says cannot find it, so I think it must not be the right level or something.

Xorg is using the vesa driver, works well but not wide enough. Guess this is different from Xvesa since it is very slow.
