Title: Tiny Core + Cups + RDP sessions
Post by: str4ng3r on July 01, 2013, 07:31:01 AM
Hi.

Is it possible to print to tiny core from a remote session established to a windows machine? I mean, imagine that I'm running Tiny core on my local machine and remotely access a windows machine using FreeRDP or other RDP software available. My local machine has a printer, and in the remote session i'm running an app like Notepad or Word. Is it possible to give the order to print on the remote windows session, and the local printer (configured on tiny core) actually print the document?

If so, where can i get the steps for setting it up?

Regards.

You need to setup samba to share your local cups printer.

That might be a problem, since some of my computers do not share the same physical network...

However i found this while surfing the web about this subject:

Will try it in a few days.
