Title: "Upgrade" directory

So, can anyone please define the purpose of the "Upgrade" directory I find in the tce/optional directory populated with many tcz's even after many reboots??

I assumed this was a staging area until next shutdown or reboot ?

Normally the extensions in this directory are moved to /tce/optional at the next boot..
