Title: Big and smooth font option, Please
Post by: Okajima on May 17, 2009, 11:34:33 AM

As disucussed here,
using flwm, using fontconfig(= anti aliased font)
makes argue.
http://forum.tinycorelinux.net/index.php?topic=1464.0

I am not anti roberts policy( minimalism),
but, also for so-called "extensism".
I mean, roberts puts very minimum, but
I hope we can extend as we like.

So far, your opinion is?

If you agree with my opinion,
what extentions we need?

I need two.
- Bigger font.
- Smooth font.

First, the font size choice which robers made
is too small for me.
( so I added big font support for my session save patch).
Font size select is necessary.
To support bigger font, the problem is flwm.
This does not support font size select.
I am not anti flwm, but in this point, I dont like flwm.

In short, my request is these two.

- Bigger font option for flwm. Maybe a bit hack necessary?
- fontconfig installer as tce/tcz. So called "smoothfont.tcz".

Now you can save a session.
And, this CD has bigger font.

Maybe this is not a matter to add here
( Using flwm thread is better??),
I need an option to disable "virtual desktop" to flwm.

Anyway, the biggest problem of flwm is not
like having no taskbar or title bar is vertical or,,,
not like that. But has no config file.

I want to customize flwm as I like!.

Your opinion is?
Configuration is necessary, right?

If many guys want, but no one does,
maybe I will make it?

I have low vision. I could use larger, smoother fonts, too.

I agree...The fonts are way too small for
my old eyes .  I think the default aterm
windows should be  50% larger.
