Title: [Solved]: http://repo.tinycorelinux.net/ seems doesn't work since may sunday 26
Post by: DanielH on May 27, 2013, 09:10:43 AM
Hello!
http://repo.tinycorelinux.net/ seems doesn't work with App Browser and ScmApp Browser since may sunday 26.
I've installed TCL on a Samsung N150 saturday 25, and have downloaded and installed a few apps.

But yesterday and today, repo isn't available: App Browser connects to repo and downloads the apps list, but doesn't download .info, .tree, .list nor other files. Of course, apps's installation is not available.
ScmApps Browser not works at all, it complains "Connection error, check network or mirror"

I haven't installed mirrors.tcz, so I can't connect to other repos.

I have downloaded mirrors.tcz stuff manually from http://distro.ibiblio.org/tinycorelinux/4.x/x86/tcz/:
mirrors.tcz   2013-Jan-15 10:16:18   4K    application/octet-stream
mirrors.tcz.info   2013-Jan-15 10:16:18   0.7K    application/octet-stream
mirrors.tcz.list   2012-Jul-30 14:57:00   0K    application/octet-stream
mirrors.tcz.md5.txt   2013-Jan-15 10:16:19   0K    text/plain
mirrors.tcz.tree   2011-Nov-09 18:00:00   0K    application/octet-stream
mirrors.tcz.zsync

How to install them in my system?

Best regards,
DanielH

I can access it fine, all pages under repo.tinycorelinux.net work for me.

You can install it for this session just by "tce-load -i /path/to/mirrors.tcz". For a permanent install, copy it to your tce/optional dir, and make it onboot.

I'm sorry, my mistake.  :-[

I've messed with two /tce/optional directories: one in /sda1 and another in /sda3.

My boot option tce=sda3 was overwrited by tce=UUID="blahblahblah" (poiting to my sda1 partition), automatically stated by tc-install.tcz at the end of APPEND in extlinux.conf, together with waitusb=5:UUID="blahblahblah" (idem), I don't know why.

Seems tc-install.tcz has a way to impose its will...  :o
Please, Mr. Robert, modify tc-install.tcz to avoid these undesired behavior...

I will remove this topic because creates unnecesary confusion, or modify it at [Solved], if I can...

Best regards,
DanielH
