Title: Cubieboard compatibility
Post by: remus on May 15, 2013, 12:34:57 AM
Hi all,

Am thinking of buying a Cubieboard to setup a microcore file server.

I'm planning on using an external usb hard drive at first. And might hook up a 2.5" sata drive later.

Am wondering if microcore is fairly stable on this system, and if I can find a post with a guide for the setup ?

All comments and suggestions welcome :)

PS our community centre has been running 2 microcore file servers for a while now, and we have had zero OS and software problems !!!

External USB drive works fine. System is stable with no crashes. You didn't state what server software.
Someone got Samba working on a10 cubie. Just know that there has not been much, if any, community support for extensions. Without compiling, currently your only other choice is import debian packages.
