Title: looking gnupg package
Post by: mattes on February 05, 2013, 02:42:04 PM
I was about to install gnupg on CorePlus and then I realized it no tcz archive.
I did some googling and supposedly there was a package available around 2009-2010ish.
Did gnupg got dropped in later releases?

What alternatives are there for gnupg with tinycore? I just want to secure some data.

hi mattes,

take
bcrypt from the core to encrypt files or tgz-packages,
encfs to encrypt whole directories,
cryptsetup to encrypt whole partitions,
pwsafe to encrypt and store your passwords,
enigmail to encrypt you mails with a stable gnupg-package (did you know about security flaws in this version?),
sshfs-fuse to get a secure-mounted filesystem from a ssh-server.

i think there are various ways to secure your digital life ;-)

Hi,
trying GnuPG I found that gpa does not synchronize with public key servers, neither I found on the list did work.
Error message: (very short flash) "cannot connect..." and then "no keys were found".

Sending and receiving of gnupg encrypted mails however works.

Actually I have to workaround with ctBankix, but this is not seeming secure.

thanx in advance
