This option works for me when I put tce=hddX
I tried hdaX and sdaX before trying hddX

I think some explaination is needed on Getting Started page (http://www.tinycorelinux.com/getting_started.html).

Agree! I'm able to boot but can't understand how to make permanent changes...

I think that was because he did not know what his partitions were called i.e. see http://forum.tinycorelinux.net/index.php?topic=228.msg1398#msg1398

But point taken (to explain what hdXY is).
