I have tried different methods given in the wiki to install 64 bit tcl in my laptop but could not. I am not an expert tcl user but had used sometime back. It is great in case the tutorial to install can be updated. May be I am missing something very basic about playing with install to achieve it.
Also a single iso with all the necessary in case available, may I know the location?
My idea is to install vmware workstation after installing 64 bit pure tcl. Is there a technical limitation which can be foreseen?
thanks

There's no iso for corepure64.
If you have already installed the core or core64 boot files, you can install the corepure64 files alongside them and modify your boot loader accordingly to boot corepure64
-
I was contemplating a layout depiction and bootloader config code for my three TC x86-64 installs all on one USB thumb stisk, one being Corepure64 however all are installed on one USB thumb stick sharing home documents etc etc Was thinking about sharing this but have been a little busy, Now there is someone who really need to see the finished working product I guess I'll have to finish it up and post..
Ok soon

I see that there is no 64-bit Xvesa.tcz
How do I get X start?

There is no 64 bit Xvesa extension. Use Xorg-7.6.
-
That is for installed version, how about iso?
How do I get GUI while booting from iso?
I can edit onboot.lst to have Xorg-7.6.tcz (available on optional ofcourse) but all I get it failed in waitforX

You need to use packages from the 64bit repo.
-
Ofcourse, that much is obvious. But graphics-3.0.21-tinycore64 & Xorg-7.6 seems not to be enough...
-
You'll need flwm.tcz also (from the core pure repo only)
-
My onboot.lst is currently: (all from tinycorelinux.net/4.x/x86_64/tcz )
Xlibs.tcz
Xprogs.tcz
graphics-3.0.21-tinycore64.tcz
Xorg-7.6.tcz
fltk-1.1.10.tcz
wbar.tcz
flwm.tcz
Get error:
/usr/bin/startx: line 12: mcookie: Accessing a corrupted shared library failed in waitforX
-
My onboot.lst from corepure64 USB install
Xprogs.tcz
fluff.tcz
wbar.tcz
compiletc.tcz
xz.tcz
ncurses-dev.tcz
perl5.tcz
bash.tcz
Xfbdev.tcz
Xorg-7.6-bin.tcz
flwm.tcz
gnome-icon-theme.tcz
netfilter-3.0.21-tinycore64.tcz
opera-12.tcz
squashfs-tools.tcz
pci-utils.tcz
depmod.tcz
advcomp.tcz
obviously I use the Xfbdev extension (with .xsession start code)
hope that helps

corepure64 iso boots fine, but there is no tc-install for pure64. But at least it is workable OK in Workstation 9
Such iso will give error /usr/bin/startx: line 12: mcookie: Accessing a corrupted shared library failed in waitforX
IF TC (32-bit) in already installed to HD/USB to default location /tce using default Syslinux
If the 32-bit TC is installed to a different location ie tce-x86 (or there is no HD available) the iso boots fine

I believe this is missing from "onboot.lst"
xf86-video-all.tcz
at least the required driver should be listed
and all the deps for xf86-video-all.tcz are missing from optional directory
corepure64 iso boots fine
Am not sure how, because an ISO does not exist
-
It does exist, because I made one myself, no big issue really
Nothing missing, I listed ALL the files I have on a working iso (tested on Workstation 9 only)
xf86-video-all.tcz is not in onboot.lst, but does exist in optional

I am new to TCL and am considering using it as a customizable rescue disk. For the corepure64 is it an image i would write to a usb drive? what other options do i have to get 64-bit TCL?
Also holy verifications batman.
-
No it's not an image, but you can install corepure64 as per the core installation instructions in the wiki
