Title: Extensions for testing
Post by: Rich on November 30, 2012, 11:03:37 AM
Due to the space problems at ibiblio, this thread is for posting links to  code.google.com  where you may
post extensions for testing purposes only. As we are NOT trying to start a second repository, please limit
posts to extensions that require testing and feedback.

1. This thread may be removed at a later date once the space problem is resolved.
2. Extensions should be submitted to the repository once the space problem is resolved.
3. Correspondence related to testing should be done in the  TCE  subforum.
4. Do not post links in the  TCE  subforum back to this thread or to  code.google.com.

Hi

aspell updated to 0.60.6.1

https://sites.google.com/site/gordontinycore/aspell

Existing packages are aspell and aspell-en 0.60.0

I suggest you also consider downloading the aspell-mine which is designed (I can only hope) to allow English and other Native Language spellers to create and maintain their own word list as the dictionaries can be out-of-date.

New dictionaries for testing are   de, de-alt, es, fi, fr,hu, it, pt_BR, ru
The new dictionaries have their own download package under the folder called (a stroke of genius ?) dictionaries

good luck

Hi

update weechat to 0.3.9
One of the packages is locale, maintainer has given permission for me to have a go at updating.

weechat will want newer aspell packages as its built on them

Many of these "FileDropper" links are broken, really wanted to try Firefox 17.01  but the link goes to www.filedropper.com only  :(

Also

icecat
 is missing a symlink " ln -s /usr/local/icecat/icecat-17.0.1/icecat /usr/local/bin/icecat "

&

XPCOMGlueLoad error for file /usr/local/icecat/icecat-17.0.1/libxpcom.so:
libxul.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Couldn't load XPCOM.

They exist in  "/usr/local/icecat/icecat-17.0.1/"

Loading firefox resolves the issue allowing icecat to run

library path issue??

hi coreplayer2,

icecat-17.0.1 works flawless for me,
although i didn´t load any other mozilla-package before,
no firefox, no minefield, no seamonkey,
even no thunderbird...
this link to /usr/local/bin wasn't needed yet, at least for me.

keep on digging!

Seems filedropper is only keeping the links for a short time for whatever reason.  In this case I will be best to wait until a solution to the ibiblio issue.

What is about using Google Drive's 5G space allocated to tcesubmit account?

Hi Jason W
Are these to replace the ones listed in replies #3 and #8? Should I update the index to point to these two instead?

Yeah, these are the same files, an 'update' as they are now available.

I have decided until I get feedback to have 2 package names
sox
-------meaning sox without pulseaudio support, the same as current version and
sox-pulse
---------------for those who need pulseaudio support.

for both versions I found this guide useful
http://www.thegeekstuff.com/2009/05/sound-exchange-sox-15-examples-to-manipulate-audio-files/

Both are versions 14.4.0
The docs for sox is relevant for sox-pulse and both have a dev package

1) sox download  bcrypt password is tinycore
current maintainer has given permission for me to test new packages.
https://sites.google.com/site/gordontinycore/sox

2) New sox-pulse, password is tinycore
https://sites.google.com/site/gordontinycore/sox-pulse

good luck

I know this page will be destroyed shortly

I have completed a tcz with an EULA that must be agreed to by the user, if they want a Google supplied pepper flash plugin that works with the chromium-browser

As this may be a little controversial I am prepared NOT to submit it, if I get too much flak or flak from important people

Normally I would have the bfe there but its bigger than 20 Megs due to it having the source deb file.
The source file can be grabbed by running the getpepper script but be warned this downloads a huge file which is Google Chrome.

Well today I installed Firefox 17 on a clean tinycore64 system and have the exact same issue as before

Code: [Select]
XPCOMGlueLoad error for file /usr/local/firefox-official/libxpcom.so:
libxul.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Couldn't load XPCOM.

The file exists in (as before with icecat) "/usr/local/firefox-official/"

Am attempting to symlink this directory to get firefox to load,  so far have no functioning browser, all deps are loaded.
